Solidarity for Febri

Hola ladies,
I'm back.. sorry can't give update about the donation yet, because we're still waiting for the alumni's donation also. It'll be from the big family of Maranatha Christian University Choir (from class of 80 something to 2010). And Febri latest update was he got a virus infection on his lung (ARDS complication). Which i don't know the medical status or name for that. And the donation until yesterday is about Rp 2,800,000 from others. I hoped our donation will and can help Febri to get a better medication and cares.
The link of current pictures and donation report is in this link

I'm really touched tho' today my blog hits 4000 and more viewers and i got many many positive respon from my fashionesedaily friends and facebook friends which is so heartwarming. And some of them really really beautiful inside out, send Febri a prayer, even give spirit to me, and most of them gives donation. I really hoped someone that got authotization read this or other link about Febri and can do something.

I'll keep posted to update you ladies, and keep praying for Febri...

Ps : Some asked, if i know Febri in person, well.. i don't. And i don't even know anyone from Undip Choir, but i'm really touched, and as a chorister also i'm dying to do something. Because it's not an easy job, going overseas for competiton with minimal funding and resources. The practice was hard, and they win which is bonus and a nice pay off for their effort.. Also made me as an Indonesia citizen proud.
One of the best moment in my life was when singing Indonesia National Anthem while our national flag was raised after winning an international competition. It's a very very touching moment! And i can put myself in Undip's choir shoes what they feel, they are a champion, National Heroes but their project manager was koma in hospital while they're singing the National Anthem... ah, i bet you guys know what i'm talking about. I get really touchy and mellow talking about this..

Thank you again for your support, means a lot to me.... :)

Start From Yourself, Start Now!

Hey dear ladies,

I brought this news with warmth inside my heart, today has been held a small fund raising for Febri by Maranatha Choir (my choir). I told them his story ( read here for detail), and they're very excited to help. Also decided to do two days of fund raising instead of just one day. Because tomorrow is the last day of practice before they're facing the exams. And some of them were just like me, hearing the news with tears on their eyes.
I'm so proud of my chorister. And did hoped that our prayer and funding will do Febri some good.
God Bless him there... Get well soon, Febri.

I'll keep update about him, and how much did we raise for the funding. Thank you for keep reading ladies, be beautiful inside out ^^

Knock Knock... I'm Knocking Right At Your Humanity Terrace..

Donation for Febriyanto, UNDIP CHOIR Project Manager that hospitalized in Vietnam during Choir Competition

Hallo gorgeous ladies, how many times did we ever ever wish to make the world's a better place for living. Ok, i'm writing this phase with tears on my eyes. I posted a link, about one Indonesian student that got hospitalized in Vietnam after their participation in a Choir Competition there, they won and sadly when Indonesian's Flag was rise and the member proudly sang "Indonesia Raya" - our National Anthem- he has to fought for his life, that time. He only got one family member left, his mom which has no fund at all even to fly to Vietnam.
The rest of the choir member already arrived in Indonesia, but Febri still hospitalized.
This is one of the things that i can do, and i surely hope we can do something about this. If we can't give money, at least we pray and spread the news so maybe other's can help also. From little thing comes the big thing, agree?
PS : they won 4 medals (1 silver, 2 gold, and GRAND PRIX CHAMPION 1st Vientnam International Choir Competition 2011, YAY FOR INDONESIA.. once again, we proved that we are able to do positive thing for Indonesia. Indonesia is a beautful country with beautiful people and talented people, not only can violence and damage.

My First Backless Night Gown!

Oh my, one girl can't have too many dress in her closet. Who's with me??? *evil grin*
I got so many dresses from Jean Blue with affordable price, pampering my wallet and my taste tho. Even i turns out not getting too many dress from her boutique lately, i think she gain more costumers which is good for her :)

For me, money can't buy taste. How often we saw people wearing branded stuff from head to toe, but end up like.... hm, i don't even wanna mention. It's how you mix and match it also how confident you are wearing it. If you got money, then i'll say go for the high end brand, because of the quality. But not all of us as lucky as those peple right? No matter how hard we work, we still got paycheck and duty to pay, so for some... buying high end brand probably can be done once or twice a year. But don't get too hesitated dear ladies, it's how you playing with your closet and improving your taste that matter.

Look at this nice blink velvet dress, it surely looks expensive. But i got it with bargain, hm.... *not telling you how much :D*

Sometimes Fake Add More Drama - How I Wear Falsies

Well, since i got a big package of falsies from Make Up Tool and i forgot to take a proper pic from yesterday event so i decided to re-do the look. Well, not really exact the same, pretty much simpler than the other night but for the eyes, somehow i prefer today's look. You can see what type and how the falsies look like on this link
This is an answer for some of my friends that asking me about how to wear falsies. Actually, there's several ways to wear them, but this post is gonna be about my favourite way to wear falsies. And believe me ladies, i pretty much tried all of the tips. This is the easiest way for me, and i hope it'll work out just fine with you.

What you're gonna need : falsies *dooh :D*, eyelash glue, scissor, eyelash curler, eye liner (pen, gel, liquid -whatever you prefer)

 Let's start :

Draw a black/ chocolate liner on your lash line, this step is making you easier to measure the falsies and know where to put them. Then curl your lashes, we don't want the falsies separated from the original lashes, it's gonna look awkward, yes?

Put some eyelash glue on the line -that we already draw-, this is gonna make your falsies stick longer because it's twice sticking power than when you put only glue on your falsies. Plus, while we put the glue on the falsies, it can dry up a bit so it'll be easier to put the falsies on.

Put some glue on the falsies -see picture below- and add extra to the outer/inner corner, because usually it get's off easily in the outer area.
PS : don't forget to cut your falsies to match she length of your eyes

Use a tweezer or your finger -whatever you prefer- to put the falsies on your lash line. I prefer stick them on the middle first, then i can easily stick the outer and inner corner area.

Make sure it put perfectly on the lash line, and this is the technique i usually use, add some glue -just thin- to put together your falsies and your original falsies. Don't over-do it because it will be hard to take the falsies off after.
left -with falsies : right - no falsies

That pretty much it, if you have any question please don't hesitate to ask, or simply drop a comment. Thank you ladies, remember practice makes perfect ^^

Now on to review, i already linked the look and where'd i get the falsies up on this post. And i think, even tho the falsies look so thin and the lashes is not too crowded, but it did the job well on my eyes. Because i already have thick and long lashes so this one adding up drama on my eyes without making it too much. For party wear and daily wear this is amazing.

But for some, maybe this falsies a bit too ordinary, because some people have thinner and shorter lashes. But i got the trick, double it up, and voila.. you are ready sista :)

What i love about this falsies :
* The band made of thread, which is easier to bend
* Can be worn more than once since the bend is easy to clean up the stain of the glue
* Easy to pull from the box, if i buy individual lashes, it kinda hard to pull from it's packaging and sometimes it RUINED the shape of the falsies. But not with this one :)
* Didn't take much space to store, individual lashes take many space on my traincase.

What i not too fancy about this falsies :
I love the texture and everything, it's just i prefer my falsies have a very long look on the outer corner but this one is not really. it comes on a round shape, and if i want it to look longer on the outer corner i have to do the cutting very carefully. Other than that, i love this falsies.

I probabbly will get myself another shape of this brand, hm... later maybe, after my traincase and my brushes arrived *wink*

PIXY - Liquid Eye Liner

Actually many people has requested about this PIXY liquid eye liner. Most of them already bought it and i can say quite satisfied with the result (right pinkyrose?) :D

I already post the swatch here just in case you guys still wondering about this eye liner.

Before i went out, still at home..
After i went home, 4.5 hours later...

Other than my washed out powder and blush and lipgloss, the eye liner still looks like when i just applied it. Still the same thickness and not smudging whatsoever and not having the fall out (well some have, but not in case, lucky me). I didn't wear any base just swipe a bit of my bb cream on my lid before application of eyeliner.

What i love about this PIXY
- available locally
- cheap price approx $3, Rp 28,000
- thick applicator
- very black color
- easy to clean, baby oil only will do

What i dislike about this PIXY
- it's not waterproof

Repurchase : Yes...

I hoped this post help, and did anyone ever experience a bad thing with eyeliner? Please do share.. :)

TOP : Jean Blue
Jeans : Some small boutique in Medan
Shawl : Mark and Venus - Ciwalk

Earrings : Stroberi - PVJ

Beauty Comes from Within

Dear Ladies,

  • Did you throw away your garbage to trash bin?
  • Did you let people that come out from the elevator first before you enter inside?
  • Did you say "please" and "thank you"?
  • Did you queue?
  • Did you use public restroom properly?
  • Did you give your seat to pregnant lady and elder in public transport?
Sounds like little things, but honestly.. have we been doing all of that everyday in our life? Sometime we're in a rush that we have to cut the queue line, or simply forget to say thanks after someone get us something done.. IT's normal, really. No judgement here... only a simple reminder, because i'm still trying to do the RIGHT THING also :)

I think the saying, " Start from youself, Start from Little things, and Start NOW" is really a good reminder for all of us. At least to let us become a better person for ourselves.  Don't try too hard tho' because change can't and impossible to be happen on one day. Take your time and just be a better you.

Why suddenly this post? Because it's not beauty products that make you beautiful, it's Attitude. Are you gonna still look fabulous and stunning with your killer heels, fancy dress, expensive handbags if you cut the line? If you let people queue longer than they should have at the register because you are busy re-arrange the stuff you had in your kate spade wallet and LV's Speedy Bag? I don't think so dear ladies... Simple stuff right? But it defines someone's attitude, remember we're valued by the way we act, and the way we treat our subordinate :)

Keep fabulous ladies, and attitude please *wink*

Not so called, Beauty!

Today, i went to a police station. I have to report for some missing important documents, such as bank book. Because my wallet's missing and unfortunately my bank book also missing (i think when i was still living in the old house) and i can't withdraw my money if i'm don't have a statement from the police.

After my new ID arrived yesterday, today i can finally go to the police station to report. But guess what, when i arrived there... there's only two officer on the station, tv is on... and one is sleeping, the other is making out with a girl. Really they're cuddling and laughing, which i think it was sweet, IF THEY'RE NOT DOING IT WHILE HE'S STILL ON DUTY!!!!!

I knocked at the door, and this un-believable girl just stare at me. Didn't even feel sorry that i caught her making up with that officer. My my.. i keep knocking, and he was like in shock and you can tell it from his face that he feel sorry that someone caught him in not the proper situation.

Finally i asked can i get a report done here, he said can but the officer that was assigned to this are out somewhere. And suggest me to go to other police station, i asked, why he can't do it. He said that, HE WAS ONLY ASSIGNED IN THE STATION TODAY, bottom line he's on duty and making out? I totally got nothing personal with police officer, but what a shame one stain can ruin a whole basket of milk.

I'm not saying anything anymore, i'll let you guys decide.... Have a nice day, and take a good care of your belonging ladies :)

Drugstore VS Indonesian Cosmetics Brand for Contouring

Meet NYC bronzer in Sunny 720A and the dupe's from our own local brand LT PRO Powder Blush no 08 and PAC blush on no 08 (comes in refill packaging)
I first saw this bronzer on my faourite beauty guru, youtube channel on her tutorial She wore this bronzer a lot, and i think for $3 it's such a bargain. And lucky for me one of my FD friend open a spee on drugstore and other website, mostly from America.

After several trial, i have to say this NYC didn't work on my shade - if wears alone, with no other blush-. The color somehow just didn't show up on my skin. I think this work best on NC35 like saaamage has. I dunno my exact shade yet, since i don't own any of MAC anymore (i used to have it, but the mineral one got lost, and my powder is broken, and i bought it randomly from my friend and i becomes like wearing a mask -it's too light-, so my guess is i'm NC 37 or NC40).
But if i wear this NYC with other blush, it gives somehow a pretty hint of contouring.

At first, i think.. what about if my NYC run out, and nobody's open a spree then i'm screwed. But then again, since this blog is about beauty without robbing your atm :p i'm gonna go with the dupe's instead. Which available locally and didn't cost me twice more the exact price of drugstore brands. Yes, blame it on the geography, i live in another side of the world :)
Not complaining tho' because... apparently we got some of products that works BEST in tropical climate and got lots of range decorative products to buy also. The only thins that i'm kinda not satisfied was, Indonesian's cosmetics brands PACKAGING. They're somehow boring :p but the quality compare to it's price, is satisfaction.

when opened - no flash (indoor)
NYC, LT PRO, PAC
swatch - with no base or foundation

from L-R : PAC, LT PRO, NYC
As you guys can see, the NYC is a bit hard to appear. It needs effort, i guess my relationship with this NYC will not gonna last one compact, LOL. Not gonna repurchase this, definitely.

with flash - indoor
from L-R : PAC, LT PRO, NYC

AFTER 3 HOURS - with flash

What i liked about :
NYC : The fact that saaamage uses this a lot, hahaha...
LT PRO : easy to blend, pigmented, nice warm color, available locally, and in refill (cheap about $4, Rp 35,000-40,000)
PAC : has the most pigmentation compares to NYC and LT PRO, available locally, and in refill (cheap about $ 4, Rp 35,000)

What i don't like about :
NYC : Cost me around $10 to finally got this arrived at my door, needs effort to use, the compact is somehow can't be closed perfectly.
LT PRO : powdery
PAC : powdery, and tricky (which is good also in the other hand), because a light swipe will do contour your cheek and nose.

Which one i'm gonna repurchase : LT PRO powder blush.

I did repurchase the PAC one, and it did the jobs very fine. But i like this LT PRO better now simply because it's softer brown, and won't look too dark on my nose if i had to contour it. But the pigmentation and price and availability both of them are reccomended.

Hope this post is helpfull... do share your favourite stuff to contour your face, ladies. Always nice to hear what's others favourite.

Watermelon, everyone? (LIPSTICK ART)

I saw one of my friend's blog.. and goes.... CRAZY, i think this is superb...
We see a lot of creativity on eye make up, but lipstick to be honest this is my first time seeing such a cute shape. She posted a lot of pictures of lipstick art, see the cute pictures on her blog here i think she took the pics from Google.
Wanna try one of those, but since i'm not a very creative person, i'm gonna try out with the easiest one first, :D
Tutorial also posted, so feel free to let me know what you think ladies... Thank you ^^

Let's get into how to do this....

1. Put something to soothe your lips, and will work as base also (lipbalm, or vaseline petroleum jelly)

2. Tap some powder to cover up the lips, also to make the color last on your lips.

3. Put a base color on your lips, i used eyeshadow to create almost the exact color compare to the exact color of watermelon

4. Blend the base color, don't worry about the excess. You can clean up later. Draw a line to differ both color application (I used white eye liner pencil). After that, start to the other color, still using the same eye shadow palette
5. Use a black gel liner or pencil liner, dot some on the middle of the lips. You can use cotton bud or eye liner brush, whatever you prefer
HERE'S THE RESULT...

It seems easy, but it can be tricky. I got a problem with the green color, so after draw a green line, i have to re-apply the pink shade. Took me about 15 mins to do this... Well, for the first trial i think it's ok.
